Roga Chair
The backrest is the central and most distinctive element of a chair. It is the first part we notice, the surface we lean against, the point where we grasp the chair and move it. It is the element that receives the user's full visual and tactile attention, and this very observation became the starting point for the design concept.
The idea behind the Roga Chair was to devote special design attention to the backrest, giving it a sculptural and tactile character. The backrest extends into space like horns, while a subtle incision along its form creates a flowing, wave-like line that further emphasizes its sculptural presence.
The backrest is shaped through solid wood bending, formed from a single piece of timber. This process reveals both the strength of the material and the precision of craftsmanship, expressing a dialogue between technology, material, and hand.
